Dr (Mrs)  Angela Obiageli Eni is the Director of  Hunger Eradication (SAHE) Foundation. Currently, she is the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Central and West African Virus Epidemiology (WAVE), a multinational program funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation USA and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) UK, in ten African countries. She also doubles as the Country Director (North Central and South West Nigeria) for the project.

Dr (Mrs) Eni holds a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), South Africa. She is a Plant Virologist with the Department of Biological Sciences at Covenant University Ota, Nigeria. Prior to joining Covenant University in 2009, she spent over 10 years at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Ibadan and was the interim Head of the Virology and Molecular Diagnostics Unit of IITA for over two years.

Dr (Mrs) Eni is passionate about food security issues and collaborates with various technical experts from across the globe in her efforts to mitigate crop yield losses associated with plant viral diseases. She is a Fellow of the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and a firm advocate for Africa to feed itself and contribute to feeding the world, giving Africa’s vast agricultural potentials.
